Question about Kitchen Ranges
There is a themo couple involved in these logs somewhere. Do you have to hold a button in while lighting the logs? Much like a pilot lite on a stove?
It is either a manual thermo couple, or there is an automatic thermo couple, or there is a flue safety switch, that is cutting or turning the gas valve off. Follow any small pipe or wiring from the gas valve and you should find your problem. If you are unsure about making repairs to a gas appliance, either get help or call a qualified service technician. Gas appliances of any type can be deadly from either fire or CO. Take no chances.
