this did not work. i do not have a rinse hold button, so i am assuming you mean the extra rinse button. i tried several variations from what you were saying and nothing seemed to do what you said, in accordance to your c08, etc. the LED works fine, it is just when i push start it turns the machine OFF instead of starting the cycle. maybe this will help. thanks for your reply.

Turns out mine had a bad electronic board. It was covered under warranty but took them over two months to get the part becasue it was backordered. That was about six months ago and it has worked fine since then although it's extremly noisy and shakes a lot in the spin cycle. Much more that my previous standard washer ever thought about.

Whirlpool Duet Sport Model WFW8300SW0 basket won't

The following list of codes indicates an electronics communication problem with the washer: - Duet HT washer - F01, F03, F06, F11, F23, F24, F27, F28, F29, F30, F31, F32, F35, F42, F61, F62, F63, F64, F65, F70, F71, and F99

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
  2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

I would first replace the door latch/lock assembly, a number of users have and it fixed the F-11 error code completely. Its the cheapest part for this problem.

Hope helps.

I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport (model #WFW8400TW03) that shuts down when I press start. There are no error codes and the last cycle ran with no issues. The door is shut and seems secure. I can find nothing...

I had the same problem. My control lock was on without the status light on. To unlock the controls I Selected and held END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for at least 3 seconds. The lock/unlock control status light never indicated the locked position, yet my washer now works. NOTE: Select and hold END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds to toggle between lock and unlock.

Control locked light is on and washer won't turn on. Can press "Control On" and Cancel/Pause buttons at the same time to get the power on but won't start.

Looking at the manual of my Whirlpool front loader gives me the following advice...

CONTROL WON’T ACCEPT SELECTIONS
1. Press PAUSE/CANCEL button on the touch-pad twice.
2. Drain the unit, then check that the drain hose and drain
pump filter are clear of foreign objects.
3. Check the touch-pad/LED assembly by selecting different
cycles and changing the modifiers and options available to
confirm the touch-pad/LED is responding.
4. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
5. Check harness connections.
6. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
7. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any
cycle

Need to reset a whirlpool duet washer

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

Duet Sport. Will not start in any setting.

Get a sledge-hammer to within 2 metres of the washing machine. Then go for the button on the right side "end of cycle" & depress it with your finger for 3 seconds, the control light will come off & I hope you will be able to use your machine.

PS. Remove the sledge-hammer.
