My speakers are not working and I cannot find the install disk. I've looked on the logitech website for updates/downloads but I cannot find anything for the X-530 5.1 speakers. Any help?

Hi,

Are you searching Audio drivers for XP, Vista or Windows 7 ?

For Vista and Windows 7 you can follow the link to make it work. You will have to download the drivers for Win XP and follow the instruction on this given page link to make your drivers work on Vista/Win 7

I have upgradded my Laptop operating system to

Use the ones for Windows Vista. Vista Drivers work for 7.

Now considering these speakers plug in via headphone jack you dont need drivers for your speakers. You should be looking for sound drivers for your laptop.
Plug in headphones see if they work if they do then there is no reason why your speakers should not.

Only two speakers are working I have vista ultimate install in my computer , I have logitech X-530 speakers

Helllo there!
You have to make sure you have in control panel your audio sound card, well installed and is working right. Then go to control panel and see your speaker configuration, is suppose to be at 5.1 speakers also you can use 6.1 Speaker configuration. Be sure you connect right your speakers at back of the audio jacks!
that's it!
good luck!

Cannot get sound from built in speakers in Windows Vista : what to do?

Hi there,

Please try to install the driver of your sound card. Just ensure that your driver installer is supports vista. If not you really need to get one compatible vista, if you know the model of your sound card, just search in the internet for free drivers.

Logitch 530 speakers quit

If you right click the volume control on your desktop.
Do you have something called
Playback devices?
If you do, select "advanced."
change the drop down to how many speakers you have.
Apply it and restart your computer.

NO SOUND OUTPUT

Check if the correct device is set for default output

Click Start
Control Panel
Sound
Select the correct speakers and set as default (like described as Realtek High definition Audio)

if you double click them, you can also change some settings there, I recommend you disable enhancements.

Finally, with the realtek driver comes a little application that runs in your tray (usually and orange speaker) verify settings there as well

Good luck, hope this helps

I just bought new speakers (logitech x-530) which is 5.1. sound only comes out of the front 2 speakers and the sub but not the back 2 and the centre. any ideas? computer specs are: motherboard - asus...

Sorry just doublechecked your board specs. Go to the sound properties in control panel. Click on the configure speakers option. If everything is plugged in right then windows should configure it for you to a 5.1 config. Hope this helps.
