Is Payment Gateway free?

The problem with a lot of payment gateways is that they do not ask for money upfront. If you are working with a payment gateway provider, you will need to pay him a certain amount of money to get the web page up and running effectively.

Many payment gateway providers mention that their services are free of charge but end up having a lot of hidden fees and costs that can end up costing you a pretty penny in the long run. Even if you have chargeback options, you need to make sure that a part of it does not go to the provider, or you will end up incurring a loss.

Go for a payment gateway provider such as PayU Money if you are looking for free service. Without any hidden costs, you will only need to pay a transaction fee of 2% for each transaction. This is considerably cheap compared to the amount you might pay as just set up otherwise.

Why does Netflix says I need a payment, never had that before.

For how long have you had Netflix? This is not a free service, it has never been. When you sign up they give you a month free, but even before signing up they ask for a payment method.

Is the prompt payment discount on bills discontinued in the future? (I pay quarterly by cheque & received my bill today & it did not state a date for prompt payment)

Please contact the company whose bill you're asking about. FixYa has no control over another company's billing policies.

You have lost your mind you claim you will help then at the very end you say how much am i willing to pay the hell with that

There is an option for 0. There is no charge to post a question. It offers you that option because that is an option on this site. If you elect not to pay for posting a question it is posted on the list and gets answered when an Expert comes across it with a solution. If you opt to pay a small fee your question is posted in a different section and usually gets answered a little faster. You are free to look through other solutions that are already provided if you desire. If you do opt to pay a fee to get your answer and the solution provided does not solve your problem you will not be charged for that solution. You have to accept the answer before you are billed what ever amount you elected to pay. Payment is optional.

Do you have to pay for answering questions and asking questions

  • You never have to pay to answer questions. The only time you pay for asking a question is when you ask an expert. You can pay different amounts, depending on how much help you want.
  • Please reply if you have any more questions. Good Luck! Please give 4 thumbs up if I helped, I am two votes away to becoming an expert!

How and When exactly do you get paid on FixYa, and why should I choose FixYa over its competitors?

The questions will have a $ next to them showing the amount that you will get if you answer the question. Fixya should be considered over its competitors because there's almost always questions to answer and many ways to answer, such as phone and IM chats.

I cant find it in the Payment FAQ, But what is Market Place Revenue Share? Its new and showing up on my account, I havent written any tips of how to's so thats not it.

Hi DSandles,

The Marketplace Questions are those questions with a green dollar amount tab on the "Answer it" button. They indicate questions where the asker has indicated their willingness to pay for a successful solution, but has not yet submitted a payment.

If you post a solution to one of these questions, the asker will need to pay to see it immediately. If they do not pay, your solution will be posted as a free solution in seven days. You will then receive credit for the free solution. You will also be eligible to earn Revenue Share based on how many people consult that solution.

This is something we are testing out, and may not be a permanent feature.

Regards,
Lauren
