On 9 out 10 front loaders there is 2-3 screws on back of top, take those out and slide top back and take off.
if your model has a fuse it will be a thrmo-fuse on the blower housing and it will have 2 wires connected to it / larry

test this steps and fix it. God bless you

Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating Element

Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it. The proper ohm reading can be found in the service manual or sometimes on the tech sheet located somewhere on your dryer (9- 13 ohms is a common reading). Electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse / Thermal Cut Out / Thermistor

On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel or behind the front cover. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing They are also round and made of metal and plastic. The thermistor is located on the blower housing usually. If any of the fuses do not have continuity replace it. Check for continuity if none replace, But before replacing check for obstructions. The fuses are very inexpensive

Wiring

A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. Check all connections, make sure they are tight. Loose connections can lead to a fire. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

My Duet Dryer starts runs a minute or two then beeps two or three times and stops. The display lights flash, if I push start it starts again but then stops again after a minute or two. I've gone t

I would first unplug the unit and remove the top cover. There are 3 screws towards the back of it. Push the cover back towards the wall and pull off. To the left you will see a control panel (usually black metal case), remove the 3 screws and flip over so you can see the control. Make sure there are no loose connections. I have ran into quite a few that had relay connection wires loose. If everything is ok. The next thing you would want to do is remove the front lower access panel (kick plat panel) and blower chamber. There is a thermal fuse and a thermistor located behind it. If you have a meter then take the proper continuity tests that are displayed on schematic. Both the thermal fuse and thermistor are fairly cheap. Remove front panel ge spacemaker dryer

Here's the trick: The Spacemaker dryer is the same as many other GE dryers but is upside down!

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Flip the dryer upside down so the white panel is now on top and the unfinished steel panel is on the bottom.
3. Remove the 2 screws that connect the bottom, white panel from the back and lift up to remove.
4. Pull off the Settings and Fabric knobs on the front of the dryer. Take off the front control panel (remove the 2 screws).
5. Remove the 2 screws that attach the front panel (located behind the control panel you just removed). Hold the dryer drum by the top edge and pull the front panel away (note that the panel will be hooked to the rest of the dryer at the bottom corners). DO NOT PULL AWAY ENTIRELY!
6. Disconnect the wiring that is attached to the front panel (these come apart easily by hand but you might want to mark the wiring so you know where to connect it when reassembling).

Replace thermal fuse and door latch and still does not run. Power on and beeps once.

Was the thermal fuse blown?
Look at the led indicators on the front of the dryer are any of them lit but very dim? If so it will be a loose connection on the flat cable assemblies 4 each from the interface panel (one with the lights and knob) to the control board located on the top left side of the dryer. If that does not work then Interface board then control board in that order.
If the led indicator appear normal then id look at the control board.

How to replace the selector control knob on a Frigidaire front load washer Model FWT449GFS2

Push-in center knob and and turn Counter Clockwise to loose it from the treaded shaft. Next, without Pushing in, continue turning CC till it comes off.

If necessary, remove the outer indicator knob by sqeezing the two release clips in the center. This knob is keyed to only go back on one way so you don't need to remember its location before removal.

Reverse the process to install new knobs.

Oh, if you need to replace the cam or timer which are behind these knobs, the front panel will have to be removed by first removing the top cover of the washer. Now you can access the six screws inside the washer and one in front behind the detergent dispenser.

How do i fit a drive belt on a hotpoint tumble drier

Hi, To fit the belt to your dryer you will need to remove the top of the appliance by removing the screws at the rear. Pull of the timer/control knob. Look inside the top of the t/dryer behind the control panel you will see little plastic stems which are attached to the facia panel. You need to knock these out to remove the facia. Once this is off then you can remove the the top 3 screws and the bottom 3 screws the front panel will now come off for you to place the belt on the drum and over the motor spindle. Becareful as the t/dryer will be very loose and will twist. it is easier to lay the appilance down on its back to stop everything falling about. Now you can put it back together in the reverse order....
Good luck.............

Wires came unplugged from behind control knob

Below is the link to the wiring diagram to your dryer, it should help some. In addition what I can tell you is that most appliance components have initials next to the connections that indicate what color wire is supposed to be connected to them, this is where the diagram should help. In cases of things like switches, buzzers, thermostats, things that only have to do with circuits being open or closed they will not have an initial so therfor it doesn't matter what wire goes to what connection. Post again if you need more help. http://www.appliance-parts-warehouse.com/frigidaire-parts/Frigidaire-Dryer-Parts/Frigidaire-Parts-GLER331AS2/Frigidaire-Parts-50169.cfm

How to remove the washer cycle selection/start-stop knob on a Whilpool Heavy Duty Thin Twin stacked washer dryer

I believe the selector knob on a Whirpool just has to be turned counter-clockwise with the selector pushed in. It will spin off the shaft and then the outer indicator dial will pull off. The shaft also has a keyed slot that will only allow the dial to be removed and installed one way, so there should be no question as to how it goes back on.

Was there a reason as to why you are removing the washer selector knob? If this is a simple matter of replacing a broken water temperature selector, you shouldn't have to remove any of the control knobs to gain access to the selector. The entire front panel comes off by removing the screws holding it in place. That way you can access the broken selector from behind the front panel much easier. Just remove the panel right above the washer top (under the dryer) and it should expose the front panel mounting screws. Remove these screws and the front panel comes off. Just make sure the unit is unplugged before you begin. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Dryer won't start

/WK, sounds like a thermal fuse. Pop the top of the dryer by pushing on the clips in right and left front top. In the back you are going to see the heater and on the right side about 4 inches down a small thermal fuse. You can ohm it out or jump it to verify that is the problem. If you jump it, don't leave it that way, it's a safety device. Part number for fuse is LA 1053, Catriver..post back.
