Pump Suddenly Does not work at all

What can I do to trouble shoot/repair?

I wasn't clear enough on the problem. I put in a descaler and let the unit sit for a few days. Then when I turned it on the pump didn't work. The unit heats up and the steamer and coffee pot still work.

I unplugged the unit for a while and pump still does not work.

If the pump suddenly quit, there may have been an overload condition detected and tripped an over current device, try removing power from the unit for a minute or two, and see if it resets.

next is going to take some doing, it could be anything from a plugged up screen, to a failed pump, a lead or wire slipped off a terminal, a circuit card is loose, depends on your expertize and tools on what I can direct you to do next, but try the above first and see what happens, you can write me at service @ emrrepair.com if you cannot find me again on here.

That does help. My guess is now that the cleaner you used worked. I am not informed on the care and cleaning of these machines, is it OK in the manual to use a cleaner like this?

What has most likely happened, is the scale solution worked, I don't recall a solution like that being required for that many days, even one treatment, but if it was called for, fine, if not, it could have over cleaned, when the hard water and other contaminates were loosened and either fell, through gravity down a tube, hose, or directly in the pump, clogged either a filter screen, or became trapped between the pump impeller and volute, or both.

I would suggest if possible, the unit will need to be dismantled and a visual inspection from the suction side of the pump, through the pump and all connecting lines and hoses.

Possibly, a small amount of air pressure, [blowing through the hose to pump inlet, might dislodge any particles stuck in either.

But knowing this information, it sounds like a mechanical blockage, and will need to be resolved by mechanical methods.

The owners manual might have some cleaning tips, or instructions, but my money is on a blocked line or debris in the pump itself.

Hope that is of some help.

    Will

This issue can happen if the site inlet water pressure falls below 1 bar. The boiler fills but as you draw drinks it won't refill.
Do you service the machine ever and replace the water filter? Limescale build up may be another reason you are experiencing problems.

Light showing coffee maker burner is on/off is not working. How can I replace it

Hello, My name is Mike I am a Espresso Expert. There is so many things these days that can cause your machine to have a problem. Companies are great at producing machines for consumers to purchase, but weak when it comes to helping a average person at home to trouble shoot the problem and only a few can fix it them self. So what I did is down load the complete manual for your machine as well, as it has schematics and trouble shooting guide along with how to fix it if you feel you can tackle that project. So, download the manual and you determine if you can fix the problem that you find on your machine via this manual. Please if you can, rate my free help and some kind words with comment would be appreciated too. Thanks Mike.

My Bunn BX-B just stopped working. The power is on, but the water will not heat, and the hotplate will not turn on? Is there a reset switch or some way I can trouble shoot this? Thanks,

Hello,

The problem of the coffee maker is simply from the thermostat regulator. It is bad and need to be replaced. To fix this is quite expensive, and will require a professional touch from an expert that will be able to carefully disassemble am reassemble the components for you as the parts are quite sensitive to deal with.

There is no reset switch for this coffee maker, you just have to replace the thermostat before it can start working fine once again.

Hope this was helpful.

Solis SL-90 Been working fine for 8 years but suddenly will

Hi
Where are you located? There are a couple of things that will cause the boiler not to heat. The power board that you can replace your self if you are handy. Heating element that is a little more detailed but can be handled by a lot of people. You did not give all the details but do you have power at all? Could be the thermal fuse. Yes they are worth fixing compared to buying new. if you chose to repair also change the brew head gasket. That should be changed yearly or at least every 2 years.
