Question about Hampton Bay 04345 Cruiser Ceiling Fan
I have a Hampton Bay "Fair Isle' ceiling fan that has been burning out bulbs approximately every 10-14 days since installation 14 months ago. In the last month bulbs are lasting between 5 seconds and 48 hours. All have been major brand 40-60w with candleabra base made for ceiling fans. Fan itself is rarely used so vibration doesn't seem to be the problem. Any ideas to solve this problem?
I would suggest getting an electrician to check the current running through the wiring. I had installed a similar fan in my grandmother's house a couple of years ago and had the same problem. After a couple of months of constantly changing bulbs, I brought in an electrician to check the current and found that there was a short in the wire which kept causing just enough of a current surge to blow the bulbs.
