bought model DSM968 transfered files to the player. Discounnted from computer after getting ok notice to do so. try turning player on and it thinks it is still connected to the computer. can not change modes. what do I do

-   aquired as gift, Diamond MP3 player DSM968-1G
it does not turn on unless connected to charger or computor . It indicates battery charging each time it's plugged in . Mode button , on/off switch , does nothing . downloaded music to it , through pc and it seems to have collected the files but will not turn on or anything .-   edhdmh
