My logitech headset mic volume is too low

The mic volume on my volume control is at the highest setting, but the sound is still very low. I can't do voice chat on google voice because it's very low and cuts out.

SOURCE: Microphone does not pick up voice

I am sorry to say but I think that perhaps your Microphone is faulty? These headset leads are notorious for breaking. If you know how to use a meter, perhaps you could check the circuit, and "see" if there is a Microphone attached? Could you "Test" it on another PC? But if this isn't the case below are some helpful links.. I "Googled" this --->troubleshooting microphone problems xp? http://support.plato.com/kb/tip.asp?psid=26055 www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/speech_setup_microphone.mspx

SOURCE: don't have speech recognition tab in control panel-speech

Go to control panel click on sounds audio dvices then tab on voice and click on test hardware then click on next now there are two options one is recorder and second is playback. Now click again on next when you click on next both volume should be enable then click on next and then finish. Now 100% guaranteed it will work and you can voice chat now. Cheers!

realtech hd is your sound device. go into windows control panel and access the sound settings then navigate to voice settings click the volume button, your mic might be muted. also if you want the headphones to work plug them into the plug that your speakers are using (side-note: mics and head phones never need something installed to work as long as your sound device works and your definitely does work, only when the mic is a special interface like USB do you need to install software and/or drivers)

Logitech clearchat stereo won't work on my inspiron 1545...

try uninstalling sound card from the device manager and reboot the computer.

if the mic does not return you may be missing a driver contact your laptop manufacturer or download new sound card drivers from the websight to restore mic function.

Logitech premium usb headset 350 help me pretty please

If when you talk into your mic you hear yourself from speakers...open your volume control(windows) and check the box to mute mic. Not for sure this is a fix to your problem but from what you wrote is similar to problem seen with voice chat software.

Headphones with mic model # na

Most headsets do not come with a volume control interface but your mic can be adjusted by going to Sound and audio devices via the control panel of your start menu. The volume can be accessed through the audio tab. Also, depending on the program you are using i.e. Skype, Team Speak or other, your volume settings can also be adjusted within that program as well. Hope this helps.
