The following link will give you some helpful advice on a dryer no heat problem:

Pay particular attention to the paragraph that discusses proper ventilation. Clogged, or poor, ventilation is the number one cause of dryer heating circuit failures. Inspect the ventilation and internal blower fan housing BEFORE replacing any defective components. Failure to do so may result in premature failure of the same components.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you require additional assistance, please let me know.

Hello, does the dryer drum turn? If the dryer drum is moving. Is the dryer blowing hot air, cold air, no air at all? Now, if it's doing everything mention above escept blowing hot air then you'll need a new heating element. If not blow air, then the drum belt is broken, belt off, or the drum motor has gone south. It was put for a quitt. Which mean in New Mexico, they fired me, I don't work, no job, finished, I'am out of here, don't bury me with my wires exposed. I hope I was some help to you. have a nice day and be safe, GB. stewbison

My Whirpool dryer Mod. LEN 2000LWG, type DWSR-ELE-2406028-CV54, Imperial Series, was working fine, but after the second medium sized load it stopped drying the clothes. I finally noticed that the inside...

The Hum most commonly means that the drum belt on your dryer is probably broken
There is a simple way to test for this.
1 remove the clothes from the dryer.
2 put your hand inside the drum and turn it. If it is easy to turn, the belt is broken. If it is difficult to turn, the belt is good. You may be looking at motor problems.

Almost all of the time, it is a broken belt.
The link below has the full procedure for changing the belt.
Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Mark

In my case, the problem was a dead main board. The board cost $190 and the overall repair cost $335. I will never buy another Whirlpool due to this experience.

Whirpool Dryer......

GAS or Elect. does not make a diffrence 95% of drying too long problems are from a clogged vent try to run a normal load with the vent off the the back letting the hot air into the house if it drys normal then you need to clean out the venting going to the outside If you are worried about the lint blowing inside you can put an old pantiehose over the vent to catch the lint dust

Clothes not drying

A couple of possibilities to check. First, is the lint trap empty? If so, then the symptoms point to hot air bypassing the drum. Look for broken or misaligned plastic ducting inside the dryer itself. Check the exhaust air for moisture, as that is a better indicator than temperature. Don't forget that towels hold an enormous amount of water, & can be extremely long in drying, especially if not spun enough.
