Question about GE JTP86 Electric Double Oven
I've read where one isn't supposed to use an oven cleaner product like "Easy Off" because of the special surfaces on the inside of a self-cleaning oven. Is this correct, and if so, can such a product be used only on the glass window of the door?
Is there a better cleaning method than simply using the self-cleaning cycle?
What you have read is correct, the catalytic lining can be damaged by corrosive sprays. It should be safe to use 'Easy Off ' on glass though.
The standard Auto clean cycle is the best method of cleaning that i know of.
