Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
Washer 9 months old - has worked perfectly until now - When door closed the "Door Lock" light does not come on - when you press start we get 0' then 48 (Minutes to complete the cycle) I press Cancel and it displays 48, 60, 90, 1hr, 2hr ... the Delay Start button seem like it is stuck ( the the other buttons have a small "click" when pressed) should it release when Delay is canceled?
When we press any of the other buttons like Spin it rotates through the numbers same as when we press cancel
We even left the washer to see if the delay would work but nothing happened - I am at a loss as to why it will not work now
I had this EXACT problem this morning and ended up calling the Sears Home Central Team out (I have an extended maintenance agreement). This is an error code that CAN BE RESET by the end user (you and me!) and doesn't need a repairmain. Here's what you do:
PRESS AND HOLD the START and CANCEL BUTTONS.
The four lights above the START button will begin to flash.
Continuing holding the START and CANCEL button and "spin" your wash selector knob to "SPIN".
Release the START and CANCEL buttons and Press the START button.
This will RESET the error codes within the system and allow you to "cancel out" of the DELAY START.
IF the error codes are "bad ones", then the system will stay locked and you'll need to call a repairman; however, this "fix" should work for MOST of the routine system error codes.
Worked on mine and we're a happy washing family once again!!
