There is a switch on the side of some cards. If it is a software memory protect than u need the program.
Otherwise u can do it by wiping everything off it with a reformat. make sure us are using the same format as is there (probably FAT16).
If that doesn't work get a partition manager program and delete and reinstall the partition and format is - make sure u get the RIGHT format

When i try to format my micro sd card system shows remove write protect how can i format it

Hi, i have here a photo that will show you on how to remove write protect on a micro SD.
1. You need to insert your micro SD into an adapter. 2. Unlock the micro SD through your adapter as shown below. 3. Once done, your micro SD is no longer write protected. eibraz_16.jpg

NOTE: The lock switch doesn't lock the micro SD into the adapter; The lock switch doesn't lock the data on the micro SD; The lock switch simply tells the "user" not to write. It just says "please, don't write me."
I hope this helps.

My memory card is write protected.how to remove it?

Some SD cards have write protect tab on the side but not all do so check for that tab. If it does not have write protect it may be you device you using it with or the memory card as a whole has gone out on you.

1. Check for write protected tab on the sides of the card
2. Check the device (try reformatting it in a card reader)

3. Replace memory stick.

Thanks and please do be considerate when leaveing feedback and ratings today, thanks

Remove write protection from micro-sd card

  1. Remove the Sandisk SD card from your portable electronic device. Ensure that the SD card can be safely ejected before removing.
  2. Locate the write protect lock. The write protect lock should be on the side opposite the cut-off corner of the SD Card.
  3. Disengage the write protect lock. To do this, gently slide the small switch upward, toward the top of the SD Card. The card should now have write protection disabled.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

first of all what type of memory card are you talking about? SD for example has a little plastic piece that moved to one side blocks the card from writing and to the other side allows writing data on it... but i dont know what type you have... would you tell me to help better?
