Many bosch dryers are actually white knight. if there is a red reset stat on the back lhs then it is white knight! there is another stat close to the heater but out of sight when you take top off but you can see two grey wires going to it - make a note of where these wires connect, disconnect them and check continuity across them. there is also another stat towards the front. take of the back panel at bottom and you can see this stat in the air duct. check this stat as well. after that you are just left with the heater - check continuity across heater

Heater in 2001 chevy tracker blows cold. when i switch from a/c(blue)to heat(red)i do not hear the (thud) like before. how do i repair myself? my mom is disabled & little $

You must remove the entire dash assembly to cure this problem. The cold air and no switch to heated air is a broken air temperature control bleed door is my opinion and most likely right.

I recently had a ducted gas heating unit undergo a routine service. At the same time, the technician identified an external gas leak. The gas leak was subsequently fixed by another technician who noted...

The tech that fixed the gas leak had to shut the main gas supply off so if he didn't bled the line to the furnace you may still have air in the line....... Go ahead and shut the furnace off and retry to start it again it takes a couple of trys to bled the air out through the pilot.... And if that doesn't work I would call the first tech and have him recheck it......that is assuming that you have an electronic ignition type furnace.

I have a warren electric heater model w1f series installed in a 4ton 12 seer a/c unit, it blows cold air when I place thrermostat in the heat position. Is there a circuit breeaker or fuse located on the...

There is a overtemp switch connected to the heating
element, somtimes this is a manual reset. I am guessing this is an outdoor packaged unit?

Turn the thermostat all they way up, go outside and
turn the power to the unit off. Wait several minutes,
turn the power on, you should hear the contactor pull
in. Now this contactor could also pull in the fan
relay switch.

If nothing happens, then look for a little car fuse
located on the circuit board, this protects the
circuit board incase of a direct short.

The overprotection switch will be circular bimetal
disc, if it is resettable it will have two wires going to it
and will have a little brown/red button in the middle.

If you fon`t feel comfortable with electricity, power
the unit off check for a little fuse and the overtempt
switch or call a qualified electrician
be a circular bimetal dis

their is sometimes a high psi switch that has a manual reset. it is red with a red rubber button. it is usualy lokated in th outdoor unit. in most areas it is code that their is a disconnect within 10 ft of the unit most of the time they have fuses in them. open the disconnect and their is a plastic sheild that needs removed sometimes.

Ruud heating/ac unit blowing only cold air in heating mode

Do you have gas or electric heat. If you have gas then you do not have a heat pump. You should in most cases have a red, yellow, white, and green wires coming to the thermostat. R should go to rc/rh G should go to green Y should go to Y and w should go to W. Also the switches on back should be switched to non heat pump and gas rather than electric. Hope this helps.

My Central heating wont come on. There doesnt seem to be any lights on the boiler/burner. Why could this be. First time I've tried to turn it on this season...it was fine back in february. Thanks!

Is the switch off?

Check the fuse panel/breaker box.

Is the thermostat switch set to heat?

Is system oil heat? If so check the following...

Some systems that use oil have an emergency switch (sometimes with a red plate) located away from the unit usually the basement staircase.

The oil systems also have a heat element above the burner on ceiling that "trips" if there is excessive heat. This shuts everything down so as not to feed a possible fire with oil.

Check the gun (burner itself) and try and locate a little red reset switch located near the back side of gun. Try pushing it in to see if its tripped.

If these quick checks don't help then it would be wise to call a technician to check your system for issues. Heating systems are too critical to "play" with and problems are best left to the pros for safety's sake. Good luck, I hope this helps.

FixmeBob Great help with Breville 800esxl

I had a similar problem, but no blinking light, only cold coffee. I tapped on the relay (black box on circuit board) and violá.  Red light, hot coffee, and happiness.  The machine did the same thing a couple of weeks after the "fix", and a good slap to the left side, and I was back in business.  My guess is that your switch is bad or sticking.  Good luck.
