If your PC does not support a digital connection you will either have to purchase a new video card or you will have to purchase and adaper from analog to digital.

Moitor not coming on message check video cable comes up i have renewed video cable no change

It could also be you graphics card, try your monitor on a different PC, if it works ok, your graphics card probably has a fault. If it doesn't you've a monitor fault.

They're fairly cheap second hand from ebay, but check the connection is the same as yours, there are several different types VGA, VGA2 etc.

I was wondering if i can use any monitor with an Emachine computer? my friends monitor went out and i want to replace it for her.

I use a regular 17 inch monitor from 10 years ago with my eMachine that came with a 22" flat screen. It's just a matter of connecting to the correct input and output. You do have to install the correct drivers for the monitor you are using unless it uses the Windows Generic drivers but it will work.

Why does everything that is displayed on my moitor have a blue tint to it?

Could be a problem with the video cable and/or connections. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor cable and move the cable around to see it improves. If this does not change anything it may be an internal issue with the monitor or video card.
