Question about Washing Machines
Hi I had a problem earlier answered in http://www.fixya.com/support/t1285095-indesit_w_103_waste_water_catcher
I had thought it was all sorted but there seems to be another problem : the washing macine drum isn't spinning now. I had done a test run earlier and it was spinning fine though I think the motor was working hard from the sound of it. Now the drum isn't spinning round at all & its
I've opened it up and found 2 problems - 1) the belt has come off, I've been trying to reattach this but is there a trick to this without streatching it?
2) When i had reattached the springs earlier I think I may've done this wrong as the concrete block on top of the drum isn't level but slopes towards the right side of the machine. I can see that the springs are attached to the drum in different ways, that is the loose ends going through the drum attachments are going in opposite directions (one pointing to back & one to front of machine) which I think may be the reason for the uneven slope & the reason for the belt coming off in the 1st place. Am I right in thinking this? and is the only way to remove the springs to turn the machine back upside down again?
Also the rubber seal round the front of the machine connecting the drum to the front of the machine where the door shuts is a bit distorted out of shape, but I don't think this is significant & no water was leaking in my test wash.
