I never thought about it but I don't see why it would not work. The only issue would be recoil, and recoil is recoil.I am considering putting a scope on my Sharps replica and only wish it to look authentic.Good Luck

How do I remove the breech block on a .50 cal muzzleloader so I can clear a stuck round?

"a round stuck in the barrel"

From that statement I assume you mean you had a bad load, and when fired the ball when only part way down the barrel and got stuck, correct?

If so, rather than unscrewing the "breech plug", you might want to try the less invasive old time method.

You might try a ".50 cal black powder bullet puller":

http://media.midwayusa.com/productimages/880x660/Primary/673/673644.jpg

Attach it to the end of a cleaning rod, and screw the end into the ball.

The brass ring is non-marring in the steel bore.

Once screwed in good, pull it out!

Or, you might try a "CO2 bullet discharger":

http://www.buffaloarms.com/ItemMedia/10024/10024_44151.jpg

Remove the nipple (if a percussion action), and shoot the blast of air through it, pushing out the bullet (have it pointed in a safe direction!)

Howa rifles

The Weatherby MkV is totally different than the Howa. You have a real base that is too low.

What type of scope are you using? Some scopes have a locking ring at the base of the turret. You may want to check for one of those.

Simmons aetec, put on muzzleloader to boresight and adjustments work in reverse.

It's a common misconception to think that you're moving the bullet impact on target, when in fact you're moving the scope's reticle to look where the rifle is shooting.... So if your shooting left of your target.. you want to move the crosshairs to the right.
Hope this helps, mark the Gunsmith

Weatherby scope 3x9 when i turn the power ring the cross hairs turn and the vertical cross hair ajustment dosn't turn

im sorry to tell you that this scope has fell apart inside if its worth fixing its going to cost more that a new scope would do and if you take it apart to try to fix it yourself you will need to refill it with gas to stop it foging up when it gets cold, best this to do it go onto e-bay and get a new scope

We have no instructions for a left eye dominant person to set the telescope

There are NO special instructions based on which eye is dominant. The scope is setup exactly the same way.

Either close the NON dominant eye or put you hand over the non dominant eye, and then look through the scope.
