It may be possible that the FM frequency chosen during setup, is in use in your area by a strong signal from a local station. Change to another frequency and see if the situation improves.

The following is from the Operation's Manual:

FM Modulator Setting
You can adjust FM Modulator frequency and output level.
7 Frequency
If output from the FM Modulator is hard to hear due to interference from a strong broadcast
station transmission, you can switch to another frequency.
You can adjust frequency between 87.9 and 90.1MHz.
7 Level
If the output sound is too quiet, too loud or distorted, you can adjust FM Modulator output
level.
You can adjust level between “LEVEL–1” and “LEVEL–7”.
1. Press the POWER button for 2 seconds to enter the FM Modulator Setting
mode.

2. Select the desired frequency
with the left/right arrow buttons.

3. Increase or decrease the Level
with the up/down arrows (buttons).

4. To cancel the FM Modulator Setting mode, press the POWER button again
for 2 seconds.
Note:
• After entering the FM Modulator Setting mode, if you do not perform an operation within about 8 seconds, the FM Modulator Setting is automatically canceled.

I installed the pioneer DEH-1300MP in my 1991 f150, works great for about 10 mins then slowly loses sound, I turn it off for a minute and it works fine for 5 minutes.. it doesn't stay on all the time....

You may have a bad speaker. Are you using the stock speakers or aftermarket speakers? If you can, check the resistance of the speakers, they should be around 4 ohms or so. If they are less than 3, they are probably bad, You may also have a bad output Ic.

Bass speaker static when stereo is off.

You have one of the most common and hard to solve problems that comes with an aftermarket stereo system. The 2 most common problems are running your power cables next to your RCAs, and not having a strong enough ground for your amps/head unit/system.

It sounds to me like your wiring is having problems. An easy way to tell would be to switch your speakers around. Take the ones on the left that you know work, and place them on the right side. If you have the same problem, then that tells you the wiring is having problems. Another problem could be that the speakers are wired out of phase. What that means is that the positive of the speaker is connected to the negative of the radio or amp, and that the negative is wired to the positive of the amp. Do you have an external amp? Try switching them around, and let me know how that works for you.

I have a Pioneer AVH-4100DVD in my '07 Camry and the radio has a really bad signal. Every station is pretty much all static. I brought it in to the store and they didn't know what was wrong. Any thoughts?

If all other in dash receivers you have had in that car have worked well, it is likely that they did not hook up the antenna lead when it was installed. I suspect they do not want to waste the time checking on it. The antenna lead looks similar to a coaxial cable on your TV so check the back of the radio to make sure it is plugged in or even better make the installer do it. :).

There is interferance in th esytem that is causing this effect. If the noise is coming while in motion then the noise is induced from the electrics of the vehicle.
Check or add a 0.47mfd/100Volt capacitor which is a clip type to the power into the set. If not use a DC/DC isolator or even a inductance coil with a capacitor , one you can salvage from an old set.
Make sure the antennae is good and the local reception is strong. If not the static might dominate.

Pioneer premier deh-500ub presetting stations

Storing the strongest broadcast
frequencies
BSM (best stations memory) lets you automatically
store the six strongest broadcast frequencies.
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select BSM in
the function menu.
2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn BSM on.
The six strongest broadcast frequencies are
stored in the order of their signal strength.
# To cancel, press MULTI-CONTROL again.
Tuning in strong signals
Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those
radio stations with sufficiently strong signals
for good reception.
% Press LOCAL repeatedly to select the
desired setting.
FM: OFF—LEVEL1—LEVEL2—LEVEL3—
LEVEL4
MW/LW: OFF—LEVEL1—LEVEL2
The LEVEL4 setting allows reception of only
the strongest stations, while lower settings let
you receive progressively weaker stations.

You can also perform this operation in the menu
that appears by using MULTI-CONTROL.
Selecting alternative frequencies
When the tuner cannot get a good reception,
the unit automatically searches for a different
station in the same network.
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select AF in the
function menu.
2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn AF on.
# To turn off, press MULTI-CONTROL again.

! Only RDS stations are tuned in during seek
tuning or BSM when AF is on.
! When you recall a preset station, the tuner
may update the preset station with a new frequency
from the station’s AF list. No preset
number appears on the display if the RDS
data for the station received differs from that
of the originally stored station.
! During AF search, sound may be temporarily
interrupted.
! AF can be turned on or off independently for
each FM band.
