You may have a bad battery or a bad charging unit. if the pc still works when plugged into the charger, it's probably a bad battery.

No battery is detected in dell 830

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My Logitech Dinovo Edge is not recharging. When I put it in the charger the battery charging indicator light flashes red instead of green.

Were you having problems with short battery life before this happened? Most of the time if the battery is not recharging it needs to be replaced. Have never seen the red flashing light before though. It may mean that the battery has shorted out.

My 2 usb ports on my monitor not working

In order for the two USB ports on the monitor to work, the monitor itself has to be connected to your computer via another USB cable with connectors that look like this:
8130925.jpg
The flat connector goes into an available USB port on your computer, the square one plugs into your monitor. Check if your cable is connected properly or exchange it with another one.
To eliminate that there is something wrong with your "not recognized device", plug this device into another USB port of your computer. The reason to preferably remove the device safely in Windows is that you can loose data if you just unplug it. If it is an external harddrive, it can get damaged, because you interrupt the power and the read/write head can get "stuck". So check this device on another computer or USB port.

If you have any other questions or something is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment and I'm happy to help.

My hard drive is not being recognized but its still getting power too it but its not showing up on the computer any where so i think there is something wrong with the usb port on the hard drive

Shut down computer, plug in USB hard drive, start computer, open "My Computer" and see if drive shows? If so, you may have to format it before using it.

How to connect to internet

If it's a new computer and especially one that is compact then there might not be a modem inside. You can get a USB modem that will plug into a USB port, this will act like an external modem and provide the phone jack. You should be able to get one at your local computer store or Best Buy. Should be about $20 to $30.
