You should not lose phone numbers as they are on the sim and on google so do a master reset, Turn off phone hold home and left for 24 seconds and phone screen will show an exclamation triangle , open the key pad and press alt w Then turn G1 on again with the on button while holding the home button. It should come back on with the touch the adroid screen like new. Hope this helps it worked for me when I had same problem , Lost lots but numbers were safe and droid stuff easy and quick to re load up again

I have forgotten my password

f you can't get in a phone because you forgot your password, the only way in, is to reset the phone and setting up the phone from scratch. You will lose all data, like contact lists, notes, images, and all apps, you did not backup on a computer or in the cloud.
Setting up a password protection on a smart phone, was to prevent anyone without password to be able to access your data. Now you forgot the password, you are excluded to the information too.
If there was a general code to unlock every password, that would make the security a farce and worth nothing.

How to reset the blackberry curve password without losing data We have a BB that was turned in because an employee was terminated and they locked it before turning it in.

No you can't unlock blackberry curve 8300 without losing data if you didn't know the correct password, that's feature of RIM security to secure all customers data if their phone stolen or missing. You must type any password 10 times to unlock blackberry password and there is no option to save all your data.

Remove security code with out restoriing phone to factory settings

Try this:
I refused to do that hard reset trash and erase all of my information. This method is also just in case you don't have anyone to call you or you're too impatient to wait:
This is inspired by the many posts that tell you to frequently press home while someone's calling.

1. I hit the emergency call button then repeatedly hit home (pic of the house) while opening and closing the phone and went to the home page. It worked repeatedly.
2. Then I went in and took off the pattern request in settings.
3. In settings, make sure Google sync is checked.
4. I changed my password on the computer in Google (with same account).
5. Wait some time 5-10 minutes or less (make sure you have internet service where you're located on your phone).
6. Then it will tell you to enter your password. Enter your new password.
7. Close your phone or hit the red power key.
8. The same locked screen will prompt you for your username and password again. Enter the new password and it will log you in.
9. It will tell you to put in your old pattern or put in a new pattern (I forgot? sorry).
10. Then, you can go into settings and security once you unlock and remove the pattern. You have to enter the old pattern to remove the security.

Try this too:

******This will work and you wont lose any data!!****** Get someone to call you. After answering, flip the screen open and shut repeatedly, tapping the "home" button every few flips. Eventually you'll drop through to your home screen. This may take a few tries.
Go into your security settings and disable the unlock pattern. You can now bypass the lockout just by opening the keyboard. Change the password on your account, which may be your Google Apps account if you have one. In a few moments, your phone will fail to sync with email and prompt you for a password. Enter the new password. You can now log in with the new password. Lock your screen, press menu to try unlocking it, and enter your new information. This should unlock your phone.

I forgot password to unlock blackberry pearl8100 before use. how I can operate it now? Or how I can fix new password or unlock permanently.

if the password was assigned by a BES server, you could ask the exchange admin to send a new password to the device.

if its a personal phone, and just using BIS (internet based email) then you are out of luck.
you have to misstype the password 10 times and wipe the handset to get back into it. remember though that this sets it to operator defaults and you will lose your saved mail items, and anything not saved to the memory card. ie: all device memory is cleared.
the dumb thing is that text messages are by default saved to the device memory, so you will lose those. and probably contacts if they arent saved to your mail account contact list.

good luck.

Was locked out of G1 phone becuz pattern was drawn to many times, entered my userid and password but the phone still won't unlock. saying invalid username or password. I can however enter gmail on the home...

Right now the G1 is having issues logging into the phone after you get locked out using a screen pattern. Just try to remember to write down the username and password you used the first time that way you won't lose the information on your phone by having to reset it. Also make sure you are typing it carefully and make sure to enter your whole gmail address too (Ex. example@gmail.com). Also if you have had to change your password from a computer after you logged into your G1, it does not take the password change. A way to avoid that is to login to the G1 again. Sync your contacts to gmail first (Settings > Data Synchronization > Menu > Sync Now). Then go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > Clear Data. To sign in again go to Settings > Data Synchronization and it will give you the option to create an account or sign in.

Ive locked my g1, too many wrong attempts on pattern code. now asking me for google email and password, as i normally used "hotmail" i made up a google one, now cant access it, tried everything through...

1. Turn the G1 off. If it’s frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit.
2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the middle.
Now to wipe the device clean:
3. Press Alt+L.
4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset.
5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds.
The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.

How do i reset my forgotten password for samsung behold

If you can enter *2767*3855# without the simcard then that's the way to unlock and reset it but it will delete all information stored on the phone. Unfortunately, if you won't be able to enter the strings of command completely, then there's no other way to unlock it but to send the phone for repair to Samsung service center.

You should be able to reset by turning on the phone without the SIM card inside, entering *2767*2878# and waiting for the phone to reset
