Question about RCA F36665 36" TV

1 Answer

RCA has no sound

I have lost the sound on my RCA F36665. Wife was watching it and said that there was a pop noise and the sound was gone. Now if you turn the volumn up or down there is a pop pop pop noise that comes from the speakers. Nothing else. The set is approximately 6 years old. I am trying to determine if there is a quick and fairly inexpensive solution to my problem or if a new tv purchase is the way to go. Thanks.

Well u have a problem in the audio circuits of the tv which includes the speaker itself. but most of the time the audio power output transistor or ic get easily damaged resulting a no sound tv. if u dont have any idea with regards to this, i suggest have it check with a qualified service technician. it will not cost u a lot for sure.

Check its speaker first. If it is found OK, check the audio output section circuit for any component damage or loose solder.

Who said it cannot be fixed? You can try and hook an external speaker to wires and test for sound. Maybe audio outs have sound?
