Re: i cant get my garmin 200series to accept pictures
Actually you do not need to use an external memory...
Just plug in the Unit using a mini-USB to USB cable to the computer where you have the pictures on.
Give it a moment for the computer to recognize and load the drivers for it, once it's done you go to "My Computer" then find the Garmin Unit there and double click on it.
Find a folder called JPEG and double click on it, you will find all the default pictures Garmin loaded on there at the factory. Drag and drop the pictures you want on your Nuvi and that's it! No need for external memory, unless you want to load several and don't want to use up the internal memory.

hello i need map for my garmin nuvi 1350 for Middle east pls pls help me if you ... hey can you sent me a link for a USA garmin map update?
try a reset by turning the power key to the left and hold it for 8 seconds. Then turn the Nuvi back on. It should work then.I have attached a link to the owners manual for your Nuvi. Thanks for using FixYa
Garmin products are very good products. This is a problem with the internet and not garmin, sometimes you might try to upload a picture on facebook for instance and it take all year to get it uploaded, so it is the server and browser that really matter. If you use mozilla firefox for instance or cometbird browsers, it will work faster unlike internet explorer.
Since you know the step to register your nuvi is to go to the website, place your cursor on the support link and a list will pop out, then you select product registration, then you follow the rest of the instruction, it will require you to create an account for your garmin nuvi, once that is done, it will ask for some other information, then you will install a plug in2, then you have registered your garmin nuvi.
After registration is when you will be able to upload a map on your gps device. There is a software that comes with the gps, but you can upgrade it by downloading latest software on it.
Yes, it's done the same way as adding music files to Nuvi's that have a MP3 player. Please see this link, however paste the pictures (.jpg format) into the existing JPEG folder already on your Nuvi that contains pictures installed by the factory.
Hi, you should be able to copy photos from your PC via the USB cable. I saved mine onto the SD card. You can also access your Garmin as if it was a hard drive using "My Computer". Just click on the "Garmin" drive, navigate to the appropriate folder (I think there's a folder called Garmin, then a Photos sub-folder). Just delete the photos you don't want.
