Question about Acer TravelMate 2700 Notebook
Laptop won;t charge while it is turned on, but when it is shut down it will begin charging again. when the laptop is opened and the power button is pushed, the light that shows it is charging is turned off and it is left on battery power alone.
If the laptop is working FINE when you plug AC only or battery only, you better using AC only when you at home.
If you really need carry out the laptop, you better:
Keep full charge when the laptop in shutdown condition/ you are not using the laptop.and then you can use it until the battery need full charge again in another shutdown condition.
Unless you can find the solution from Acer web with some kind upgrade software or BIOS, because it sounds like power design problem....

Have a look under your control panel for power options.
I'm using Vista but should basically be the same. Click on "Change when CPU sleeps"
Go into advanced power settings. Will prob give you option with your power plan. Mine
on high performance but you can change the others if you want.. Look under battery options
and see if you maybe have you battery option maybe turned off?? I've got a Acer Aspire 4920G
so it should be around the same operation. Let me know what come of it.
