Hi there I seem to be having trouble getting the right colours on my screen, they seem way to blown out in pinks and reds. Is there a free way of correcting this? Thanks

If the pink/red coloration is on a dim (darkened) screen, then I would say your Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) is going out. About a $15.00 part but tricky to install. You might want to pay for a technician. Or, if you think your able to do it, follow this link to an example instruction. These instructions are on a laptop screen, but the same principles apply. CLICK HERE.

If the screen is very bright and just the colors are bothering your, then I would says it's just a HUE adjustment on the monitor.
Here is a link to Samsung 226BW Support.

My desktop red in colour i have lg flatron w1642s

Hi Shiva003,

This problem usually arises when a line in your signal cable is cut. I suggest you get a new signal cable and the problem will be history. When this cable is cut you may have your screen appearing reddisg, yellowish or blueish - RGB combination that produce all the other colours we see.

Regards.

I only need your help to solve a connection problem. I just purchased a video and microphone device. I am not getting sound from the mike. What slot do i connect the mike wire to?

Usually the cables are color coded. Green is the speakers and pink is the microphone. That's the colours you should have on the jacks ports on your PC. It should have a microphone image next to it as well.

Hp w2007 why does the computer go pink everything that is green is now black

All the colours on the screen are created by "mixing" the 3 "primary" colours (red, blue, green).

Once the production of "green" ceases, anything that should be "100% green" becomes "100% black",
and every colour that indicates some percentage of "green" becomes a mixture of just RED and BLUE, i.e., various shades of PINK.

First, try the monitor on another computer (desktop or laptop). If the problem persists, it's time to replace the monitor. If the problem vanishes, it's the video-card in your computer that is not generating GREEN, or it is the "data" cable between your monitor and your computer that is not transmitting the GREEN request. So, you can try replacing the data-cable, or try replacing the video-card.

Speakers

On tower computers made in the past 8-10 years, the speaker socket is colour-coded so you can easily find the right socket (this colour coding system is known as AC'97).
The speakers go in the light green socket, and there will usually be two others, one is light blue for secondary sound output, and the other is pink, used for microphone input.
Computers with older sound systems may have all black sockets instead, invented before the AC'97 system of colour coding, in which case there will usually be a very small picture indicating which is the speakers.
The easiest way with older black socket designs is to start the PC playing music, and then go thru each socket (it's perfectly safe to plug speakers into the wrong one of the available sockets - none of these things carry high voltage of any kind.
High specification modern towers may have 6 or more sockets available, as these are needed for surround sound Dolby 7.1 speaker outputs. With that type, they are split into 2 groups of 3, with 1 group covering the standard pink, green and blue sockets, and then the extra ones next to them.
You may also see a small square audio socket on your PC if its top of the range, and this may have a red glow from it. This is fibre-optic audio output, and you should avoid ever looking directly into these illuminated sockets as they are like a laser light inside.

Series of coloured dashes in patches across the monitor when brow

Going to suggest that you download the latest drivers for your video card also the drivers for the monitor. Problem seems to be in the video card side, since you said you are using a new monitor. Try the new drivers, if it continues after that you might want to try cleaning out the computer or replacing the video card.

My laptop screen became pink some pixels are moving

When a laptop screen turns pink it is usually due to a loose or faulty ribbon cable from the screen to the motherboard. If replacing that does not help then the problem is the inverter.

Php-x19w keeps switching off after a few minutes

I've just spent ages tracking this one down. In my case it is the protection circuit in the backlight invertor. The tubes are worn out (they are pink when they first come on) and need replacing :((.
If the picture disappears and the blue light in the ON switch stays on, you've probably got the same trouble.
