Magiccolor 2450 factory reset password

Is there a way to completely reset to factory defaults?  Also what is the password to enter service mode to diagnose a problem.

Thank you for the help.. And quick response.!!

But the problem seems to be beyond connected with the system admin tool. I upgraded the firmware for mac 10.4 over a year ago and it started to act flakey ever since.. Dropping usb connections etc.
It has not been used for awhile and I recently reconnected it since another printer failed. I got one print out and it seemed to freeze up several times when I was spooling the next. Now during boot it makes all the correct sounds but the LCD screen stays in "initializing" and the ready light never comes on. I still have access to the front panel menus and I can get to the service menu scree. it asks for a password, appears to be all digits. I tried "1234" but no go..
I think I should be able to reset the defaults from there? also is there a way to flush out the updated firmware and go back to the original, which seemed to work fine.

Thanks great link.. But after digging around all night I did find this fix. This would allow me to just reload the entire firmware.
On a non-functional printer the firmware can not be rewritten or upgraded using the firmware update utility.
The controller firmware (in a XXXXXX.sys format) will have to be sent to the printer via the parallel port.

Connect the machine to the PC using an IEEE 1284 parallel cable. (The printer should be switched off.)
Copy the firmware data (XXXXXX.sys) to any directory on the PC.
Holding down the Menu Select key and arrow up key on the control panel at the same time, turn on the
printer’s power switch.
To select YES or NO for each of the items shown below, use the > or < key. Then press the Menu
Select key.
[UPDATE PRINTER]: YES
[REPLACE CODE]: YES
  [REPLACE ALL FONT]: NO
  [REPLACE SYS FONT]: NO
  [UPDATE NOW]: YES
Make sure that the message SEND DATA NOW appears on the control panel.
Start the Command Prompt on your PC and go to the directory in which the firmware data is stored.
Type copy /b XXXXXX.sys lpt1: and then press the Enter key (XXXXXX is the firmware data file name).

After the firmware update has completed, the printer will reboot.

Hello there if u enter the service mode and it shows and password it means that the user or the service before has activated the CE password that means that you can enter if you do not know the password. Either way you have to try to enter the default CE password that is 92729272 or 00000000 or 123456789 the first one if not change should open acess to the service mode if not you have to call the konica minolta for NVRAM reset procedure there is no other alternative.

How do l reset my OKI c9650 yellow drum, l have the fuse but didn't came with the manual. In addition the printer has been saying the top cover is not closed though it looks like its all closed well.

The printer must be put back into "Shipping Mode" in order for the consumable counters to reset.

In order to place the printers back in “Shipping Mode,” do the following:

    1. Shut down the printer and press RESTART. Press and hold the [UP], [DOWN] and [HELP] keys at the same time while
restarting the printer. Hold the keys until the display reads "Please Wait" to go to the System Maintenance Mode.
    2) Press + or - until "Engine Diag" Mode is displayed; press Enter and Diagnostic Mode xx.xx.xx will be displayed
    3) Press and hold both Enter & On-line simultaneously until Eng Diag Level3 is displayed

    4) Press + or - until Local Parameter Set is displayed; release and press Enter

    5) Press + or - until it displays Factory Mode; if it displays Factory Mode Twice with an asterisk next to one then it is in Factory Mode; Press Enter, Press + or - until it displays Factory Mode & Shipping Mode on the display; then press and hold On-line & Cancel simultaneously; when it stops blinking an asterisk should be displayed next to Shipping Mode, which becomes the default mode.

    6) Power printer off then on to complete the procedure.

Magicolor 2450 Service menu password

Are you familiar with the printer's PageScopeWeb Connection.
You can access it with your web browser and reset the printer from that page. Instructions for IE are on page 117. The password is SYSADMIN. The printer's ip address is 192.168.1.2 per the manual. unless you have it networked with a different IP.

Hope this helps,
copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Kyocera Copier Password (KM-4050)

The factory default password should be 4000. If thast doesn't work you will have to reset or display the admin password in service mode.

To enter service mode hit the ststus button and then type 10871087. Scroll through the menu with the * and # keys. If you make changes in service mode and do not know what you are doing you can cause the copier to permanently fail.
