possible RAM memory module problem, you might need to check the physical connection of your RAM memory modules on the motherboard, if you have more than one, then try to use one module at a time, or switch slots
another cause could be overheating of CPU or video card due to defective cooling fan. try to check if the fans are working properly when computer is on
lastly, there could be a virus or spyware problem on your PC, you will need to boot in safe mode to prevent restarting, then do a full virus/spyware scan
hey!!! maybe some files of your pc are already delete when you last time you do to virus scan and your virus scanner is not able to neutralize of your selected files, some of the anti virus do to delete the files where files are not able to neutralize by your anti virus,, need to reformat of your computer by using your os/ operating system try do it, the display error when your pc start up mean some files of your pc is missing,,
if the power suddenly went from your board it may have caused a short circuit and effectively killed the motherboard. my suggestion would be to get hold of another motherboard and see if you can boot. if not then it will most likely be your RAM. but since you said the CPU light isnt on at all, it will most likely be a dead motherboard
There are several Possibilties for No Display.,
1) SMPS improper voltage
2) RAM Compatiblity
3) Virus issues
4) Check Processor pin contacts
5) Monitor problem
do check above categories, advise expert engineer to handle these, will resolve the problem
try to download and install new motherboard drivers and check for virus...intel and nokia have been too commonly bought that they are not really checking for product defects..and i also hope that your motherboard got 3 years warrent..if its still there then take it back where you bought it and ask to check for problems or send it to intel..repair or exchange will be free..i hope..now a days there are too much cheats cant trust anyone...
I had exactly the same problem with my kids PC last week, also an Asus on an AMD flatform. I reset the BIOS and clean install the OS and now its working fine. You have to reformat the harddisk, cause in my case it doesn't show its exact capacity when I it hooked it up as slave drive with my own PC. Maybe a virus did it.
