Motor is locking up after a few stitches but no... (by 3 users)

my sewing machine will sew maybe 10 stitches then the motor locks up (well what i think is the motor). i can still move the needle manually, the E6 message shows on the screen however no thread is caught . i then remove everything and start again, the same problem happens :( :( it makes a dreadful noise!

it is a new machine and i have hadly used it.

i have changed the needles, type of material thickness,cleaned under the bobbin, re threaded the needle and the rest of the machine, changed the tension. Please help!!

I have had mine for about 7 months and i use it a lot.But it started to do the same thing. and i can't fix it.

You may well have a faulty motor problem, the best thing you can do is contact either the supplier of the company for advice in case a few people have had the same problem, it used to happen when I worked for Brother many years ago.
