Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, yes you can if you want to do it yourself. Of course, if it is a newer car or truck, and under any waranty, if you do any work to it you may run the risk of loosing that waranty. There are some great video's on you tube that can show you how and give step by step instructions. In this case I looked up "e g r replacement videos you tube" and lead me to a couple good clips. You can also go straight to the car manufacturer and they to can help maybe with videos or manuals. In our small town, we have 4 auto parts stores, so they are all willing to go an extra mile to help us figure some problems out. Good Luck, and hope this helps a little

Ray is correct , EGR valve has nothing to do with the air bag light ! an I wouldn't mess with the air bag system if you didn't know that ! you could kill yourself , besides you need special tools to work on air bag systems ! So do yourself a favor an take it to a ASE certified repair shop !
try these websites to see if they have your truck listed www.autozone.com if they do you be able to check on the price and get pictures and diagram at the same time and the other website is www.alldatadiy.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your truck.
most of the time i see this code you want to check the vacume switching valve for the egr ,i hardly see it where the egr is the issue you may want a mechanic to check this you can check it yourself but you would need toyota diagnostic specific info where you would need to apply voltage to the sensor and check the operation of the valve restricting or letting air flow hope this helps
