Question about KitchenAid KT2651X Epicurean Stand Mixer
I have a KitchenAid 475 Watts KT2651XAC standing mixer. It has not been in use for a few years as it has been sitting in my Mom's basement idle. I took it out of the basement and wanted to use it. It seems to be practically brand new. When I plug it in it will not turn on. I have heard KitchenAid mixers have a "switch" or something which needs to be checked before it can be turned on again. Please help me. Thanks!
If you remove the top you will find a tiny fuse wrapped in a black band on the left side from the back. It connects two white wires which power the top-side motor brush. Most likely this needs to be replaced. You can check by bypassing it with roach clips or a copper wire. Unplug the machine first and be careful!
