Question about Water Heaters
Not sure of hotwater heater's age, but suspect it could be15 years or so. It is an A O Smith, model FSG 50 232. Its Energy Guide label makes reference to 1994 guidelines. My question is whether the seepage is an indication I need a new tank?
Soetimes its gaskets around flanges and heater element fixings that fail
have a good look round after drying the area with tissue etc.
leave a dry tissue round the based so you will see tell tale trace stains where its perhaps leaking from
