Question about Singer CE-200 Quantum Futura Computerized Sewing Machine
I am just doing straight sewing...not embroidery. The problem started with birdnesting. I have checked top thread tension, tried to adjust the bobbin tension, changed threads, needles and fabric types. Now, I don't even get to the birdnesting. The thread bunches up around the bobbin casing and I have to cut it to be able to remove the fabric. It is as if something is catching the thread between the bobbin case and the racing mechanism. When I try to slowly watch what is happening by lowering the needle by hand, and with the face plate off, it looks as if the thread is pulling the bobbin case out of position. Help, please! I am in Belize and cannot get to a repair shop.
Okay. I had this problem too. try taking the bobbin casing out. I had a bit of thread lintg caught in a remote area of the under-plate area. Blow it out with canned air and oil your machine. That should help. It fixed mine.

Make sure you are using the right bobbin - light blue tint and slightly domed, make sure you are using bobbin thread, floss thread through the thread guides, make sure the thread goes behind the metal bar immediately after it comes out of the thread guide before it goes into the wire loop and needle.
