I would google Avira. Go to their official web site. Drill down to utilities and download the avira rescue iso. After downloading, burn the iso to a cd. Then reboot your system to boot from the cd. Avira runs a non windows operating system so windows viruses cannot affect it. Try to have the internet connected by hard wire, not wifi.
His should get rid of nasties that may be your problem. Hope this works.
Theres a great free program called paragon backup and recovery. It will clone your whole hard drive. You have to back it up to an external drive large enough to copy everything. Then burn the bootable CD in the program. And if you want to go back just boot to the CD and hook up the external and restore it.
Goto start setting control panel (add & remove programs) uninstall the software that drives your unit , after re-installing the software your unit will have fresh drivers installed , follow the steps for your unit and you'll be back using your device .
Hard drive has bad sectors on it which is why its giving you that message even though you can go thru the restore. Normally going thru the system cd and then the recovery cd should bring you into windows with the device drivers installed.
Hard drive is acting weird but it could be corrupt system files as well Best thing to do is to restore the laptop back to factory defaults and see if it goes thru, if it doesn't go thru then try another known good hard drive and if you can restore it back to factory defaults with the known good drive then you know that the original hard drive is bad.
cleat your cache, and detete all of your temp files. You can do this by going to your tools option on top of your internet explorer page. Scroll down to options, and just follow the instructions. It is simple and fast. Also, run your disk cleanup on your hard drive properties' page. And defragment your hard drive.
