6 AA Batteries generate how many amps

If this is a battery powered CD player,
we are talking mA not amps.....6 x 1.5volt batteries give you 9 volts
I would recommend something like this:- This will have more than enough power for the CD Player.

My daughter received a personal cd player from tous for tots christmas program. The Lid will not stay down and two battery changes would not remedy the problem

There is a physical mechanism that should lock in when it's pressed down. Usually there is a release button for that mechanism when you need to open it. I would try using tape and see if it will play when it's taped shut. Depending on the mechanism this may be your only option.
Thank you,

Audiophase CDplayer CD331T When I try to turn on the player the display says "open". I don't know what is open and I have brand new batteries. Thank u

wizofoz99, I'm working on an abused cd331t and also have the same "open" in the display.
If you open the top, as if to insert CD, look to the rear, near the right hinge, there should be a small post, molded into top cover. What do you see on the end of the post?

To the experts, have seen the interlock to be SW215. Is it an IR tx\rx or magnetic. I don't see anything on the end of the interlock post. Should there be a reflector or small magnet on the end? Please advise. I'm a tinkerer not an expert. Thanks in advance.

I have a 6 vvolt DC power supply that I was using use with the audio phase GD player. When I plug it into the player, The playere will not turn on. I unplug the power supply from the player and the...

It may have a little switch so you can choose to either use it with a battery or with the power supply. If not try taking out the battery and see if it works. If it does not work with the battery taken of then it is the power supply. You can further check if the power supply is putting out voltage with a multimeter if you have one. Note that it might read a a few volts higher than 6 volts which is normal. If it reads less than six volts then it is no good.

It is possible that the batteries would have leaked into the set. please check this out if you look into the battery compartment . if so you will need to oopen the set and clean the pcb preferably using petrol on the printed board. do nott let petrol go to the opticals or any plastics. if you notice the acid from the battery has spoilt the pcb, clean it well so as the copperr clad shines, then using an iron draw the connection through these tracks. test after you have done a good job but dont forget to clean the head and the drives. I hope it works for you. If not , test for voltage coming to the PCB, trace the circuit to confirm if the processor gets the voltage, If miro processor is not responding you have a serious issue to decide with the cost of repair and a new set. hope I could help.
Good day

Battery compartment disconected by the AC adapter

That could be any number of things. Broken solder joint on the board where the battery terminals connect, dead batteries, and now that I think about it, if the connection is broken or loose in any way inside the hole where the ac adapter goes, it's not going to work with batteries. It needs that completed circuit regardless if there isn't an ac adapter inserted.

Any adapter of 500mA or less will work just fine. Even if you have more current than needed, the CD player will just take whatever is needed to operate.

Nope I'm afraid that when this happens, the slider motor is bad, the spindle motor is bad, or the laser pick-up assembly needs to be replaced. You can replace this unit for about 20 bucks. A laser pickup for this unit will cost about 25 to 35 bucks + labor!. See mt point? Good Luck
