Denon S-301 video problems

posted by shvirja on Jan 30, 2007

While viewing a DVD my screen goes blank, but I still here audio. I can play back the scene over again with no problems. I'm using the HDMI interface to my plasma TV. The DVD player has been replace for this problem and the new unit has the same problem. I'm using the default factory setting, AUTO 1, for Progressive Mode. This problem has occured with brand new and used DVDs. The unit is in a open space with plenty of ventilation. Any ideas if this is a problem with the unit or a setting problem.

Theis is a known problem by Denon, you need to get a "patch" by denon to fix the problem. If you hook up to the other video out sources there is no problem (but no HD either)
