I have the same quic-lock blade holder mechanism. The collar turns, but the blade is not being released. Have tried muscleing the blade out and using wd-40, etc., but still not releasing. Is there a means to take apart the collar assembly?

Will the collar on the Quik Lok Turn and if so how much? What you can do is spray some WD-40 on the mechanism to free up the collar, sometimes it gets gummed up from cutting. It should open and close with a snap, hope this helps

Saw blade jammed - cannot remove

Unplug from power. Spray blade locking mechanism with wd40 or similar lube. 1. If you have a quik release, work the release with a pair of channel locks while wriggling the blade. If not removed, you can remove the footplate from the saw and drive the pin out that holds the quik release in place, paying attention to how the parts reassemble. 2. If you have a set screw retainer, totally remove the retainer.

Milwawkee sawzall rotated shaft

If this is an older sawzall there is a bushing in the back plate that aligns the spindle. There is a service fixture for proper alignment. If this is a newer one you have a problem also in the gearcase that would need to be looked at. You can go to milwaukeetool.com and with your model number and serial number download a schematic for this tool . Let me know if you need more assistance and if you do I would need the model and serial number also.

Cannot get the blade out of the porter cable reciprocating saw

Hi,
Getting a broken blade our of the sawzall chuck can be difficult and require some ingenuity and patience...
Sometimes there be enough blade left so that you can grab it with a needle nose pliers... othertimes it is flush and that makes it more difficult... holding the chuck in the release position and rapping the saw against a table or with a hammer can jiggle the piece out....of course you have the chuck pointed down while you do that...
Also moving the piece around a bit with a stiff wire and also soaking the chuck and blade with WD-40 helps also....
Usually it will take a combination of these things and some persistance to get the job done...

Missing the blade holder thingy for sawzall cat # 6527. Thanks, Mike

Mike, is this the quik lok blade assembly and if so the part number is 14-46-1011 and if not you would need to go to Milwaukeetool.com and type in your model number but you would also need to have the serial number handy for the different versions and parts for these tools. If you want to forward it to me I will come up with a part number for you.

I have a Milwaukee sawzall 6509-22 with a quick loc cam. Blade went in fine, but now the saw wont release the blade to come out. How do I fix this problem. Note: locking cam is turning fine

K you used the saw after inserting blade?? If so couple ideas, hold collar open and put saw blade in a vise and try pulling back on saw, or you can remove the quik lok cam and release it that way, its not that hard, but I would try vise first. Let me know

Milwaukee Sawsal Broken blade

Spay inside where blade fits in with PB BLASTER & let set a while. Maybe you will get lucky & the blade will fall out as it should. If not then it will have to be dissembled in this area. There are 2 BB's inside that fit into the small hole on the blade. They are forced in by a spring, be careful not to lose these. Also check the accuatator when you pull the finger release, make sure it is going all the way or it is not broken, Good luck.

Milwaukee Sawzall problem

ive had it happen to many of mine also. it happens what i do is blow it out with an air compressor or a can of dust off while opening it and shutting the lock. then pour some liquid wrench into the lock. and work it in by opening and shutting it a few times. that should help. this is a common prblm with many different brands of sawzalls.
