I have tried several times to install and it does not completely install the sound, so when I try to run the program, it says that it won't open and says that I have to re-install. Is there something that I can do or is the disk unuseable? Can I download the installation software from the internet?

By installation Disk do you mean the CD/DVD-ROM? If yes
Check to see if the drive's LED flashes when the system is trying to boot. If it doesn't, open the system and make sure all the cables to the CD/DVD- ROM is properly connected and to the right slots. If the cables are properly connect and the CD/DVD- ROM is still not working replace the CD/DVD-ROM.
However, if its that the system could not install a particular program, make sure the installation files are complete and try again. If its a downloaded program, verify the completeness of the file downloaded and try reinstalling the program.
Unfortunately, you may be out of luck. :( The newer 64-bit operating systems have trouble running the older programs that were designed for 32 or 16-bit platforms. You can try this however: open control panel, click on 'Programs', then click on 'Use an older program with this version of windows', follow the prompts and be sure to choose "I want to use the program in the CD drive". Good luck!
First you can take One Bootable O.S CD and
Goto BIOS Boot priority First option CD Rom

After that Windows Setup Running it will take several minits then select F8 button and Select partition and create New Partitions select C or D drive press enter Boot files Loading then Reboot your System After that instalation time asking CD key and Time Zone select it after several minits installation will be complete.Thats it
I have found the solution to help you all. You all need to download a small patch which only took 5 seconds for me. The website is http://support.selectsoft.com/products/D/LDDINHUNTJ.htm#Downloads
you need to click on DKSP1.exe under Downloads which is in blue on the left side of the page at the top. Once downloaded you can go to your game and play. This should help and i hope it does. Happy game playing!
Try running the install in compatibility mode for windows xp. Do this by exploring the cd rom, right clicking the setup file, and select compatibility, run this program in compatibility mode for win XP sp2.
i guess the question is not very clear to me .. but off what i can figure out, in your desktop 1) sound doesnt come 2) some problem with your cd from (kindly elaborate) for the sound card there can several reasons for the sound not coming 1) Drivers not installed properly 2) you might have installed wrong drivers 3) (Happens in really old comps)if u have moved the cpu cabinet a lot lately, sound card could have been displaced from its socket, in such a case just take out the sound card clean it once and put it back again Most of the times it is the driver which is not getting loaded properly, trying opening windows in safe mode, if the problem persists try reinstalling the driver. and as per the CD rom problem kindly elaborate..
