Question about Sony DWQ 58A 8x8x4 Slim DVD RW w/ NTI DVD Maker, Black,Bulk (DWQ58A) Burner
I HAVE A DELL INSIPRON B130 RUNNING WINDOWS XP HOME. I RE-INSTALLED WINDOWS USING THE RESTORE CD FROM DELL. THEN I FLASHED THE SONY DWQ-58A WITH A NEWER FIRMWARE USY3. NOW DVD PLAYS BUT THE CD DOESNT PLAY. WHAT CAN I DO?

your DVD ROM lens has became weak.
and it cannot be repaired.
But if you manage to open the DVD ROM clean the dust in it & it will start working again but be careful remember that no power should be attached to ROM.
or you can buy a lens cleaner from market and try that.
