Click on your Internet Explorer icon; you'll find this in your Start menu, or the toolbar at the bottom of your desktop window.
Type in "yahoo.com" in IE's search box at the top of the browser window.
The yahoo homepage will load.
Go to toolbar at the top of browser, and click on "Tools", then "Internet Options".
If the "tools" option is missing, press the ALT key on your keyboard and it should pop up.
At the top of the pop-up, you'll see a "Home Page" box. The address of the site that you are currently at (http://www.yahoo.com) is there. Press the "Use Current" button to specify this page as your home page.
Make Yahoo your homepage in Firefox
Open the Firefox browser.
Type in "yahoo.com" to Firefox's address bar.
At the top of your browser window, you'll see the Firefox tool bar (this includes the words "File", "Edit", etc.). Click on Tools, then Options.
The popup window will open up with the default option of General. At the top of the window, you'll see "Home Page Locations." If you're satisfied with the page you're currently at and would like to set it as your Home Page, click on "Use Current Page."
do not try to resolve the issue. wait for some time before trying to connect to yahoo mail.
if the problem persists (unlikely) then access the www.yahoo.com page, and see if you are logged in. You username will be visible somewhere in the top 1 inch on the screen if you are logged in. If that happens, simply click "log out", refresh the page (press F5) and try after some time
It doesn't sound like a router issue. If your router is connected to the internet and you can access the internet and if you are running internet explorer. Go to tools (left uppr corner), click on it and go to internet options down at the bottom of the drop down box. This will open up another box and you will see where you can type in your home page, then lick on apply and ok and reboot your Internet Explorer. If Internet Explorer is not working,
If the basics do not work first, the retry button and switch to Yahoo classic
I would go out to
and download FireFox. This is what I am using right now and yahoo works
fine with it.
The other alternative is to download and install the Internet Explorer 9
Beta version. at http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/ This will work as
Periodically, Microsoft or yahoo will send out an update that will not
work correctly for one reason or another. Mistakes happen, but rest
assured, it will be fixed sometime soon.
Could be either a poor internet connection or just poor server response time from yahoo. Its probably struggling to load and just times out. This happens to me with just about any website from time to time. Try repairing your internet connection, or just waiting for another time (side note...Mozilla Firefox is the way to go)
Make sure that you have Internet connection by going to other websites which you don't normally visit. If you have security software, try disabling it temporarily then try to click on the links again.
If you're using Internet Explorer browser, clear temporary internet files which are unnecessary. To do that, open Internet Explorer, at the top of the bar, click on Tools>Internet Options> then click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Clear History.
If you have Mozilla Firefox browser, go to Tools and click on Clear Private Data.
If you still can't access the links on your yahoo homepage, check if you can access links from other websites. If you're also having problems with other websites, it's a browser issue.
In cases like this, if you have Internet Explorer and you have this problem, I would suggest downloading Mozilla Firefox from www.mozilla.com
Also try to reboot your computer and modem..
And scan the computer for possible virus infection using a security software..
You may also contact your ISP so they can check if there's any latency or fluctuations on their end.
