I have the same problem - nothing related to yahoo will load. I don't know why nobody else I know has it though. It seems to be a very selective server issue.

I also cannot connect to Yahoo (home page) with Safari. I have all new upgrades to Safari and Firefox so that is not the problem. I have moved all important accounts to gmail where there are no problems. I also do not get spam there. I guess that is probably my solution but it bugs me. Sometime I just switch to Firefox and that will work for awhile...

Using either Firefox or Internet Explorer. I click on Yahoo mail, and it says cannot connect, check typing of address, etc. This has been going on awhile now.

My yahoo email is giving me this error message "Ouch! The error, LaunchEmptyResponse, occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail. " How can I resolve this issue?

do not try to resolve the issue. wait for some time before trying to connect to yahoo mail.

if the problem persists (unlikely) then access the page, and see if you are logged in. You username will be visible somewhere in the top 1 inch on the screen if you are logged in.
If that happens, simply click "log out", refresh the page (press F5) and try after some time

No i am trying to get my regular home page restored

It doesn't sound like a router issue. If your router is connected to the internet and you can access the internet and if you are running internet explorer. Go to tools (left uppr corner), click on it and go to internet options down at the bottom of the drop down box. This will open up another box and you will see where you can type in your home page, then lick on apply and ok and reboot your Internet Explorer. If Internet Explorer is not working,

If the basics do not work first, the retry button and switch to Yahoo classic

I would go out to and download FireFox. This is what I am using right now and yahoo works fine with it.

The other alternative is to download and install the Internet Explorer 9 Beta version. at This will work as well.

Periodically, Microsoft or yahoo will send out an update that will not work correctly for one reason or another. Mistakes happen, but rest assured, it will be fixed sometime soon.

I am running XP PRO. with Internet Explorer as browser and Yahoo7 as home page my email is My problem is I cannot sign in for yahoo7 mail or accounts anything for yahoo. When I...

Could be either a poor internet connection or just poor server response time from yahoo. Its probably struggling to load and just times out. This happens to me with just about any website from time to time. Try repairing your internet connection, or just waiting for another time (side note...Mozilla Firefox is the way to go)

I can open yahoo home page but further cannot open any links

Make sure that you have Internet connection by going to other websites which you don't normally visit.
If you have security software, try disabling it temporarily then try to click on the links again.

If you're using Internet Explorer browser, clear temporary internet files which are unnecessary. To do that, open Internet Explorer, at the top of the bar, click on Tools>Internet Options> then click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Clear History.

If you have Mozilla Firefox browser, go to Tools and click on Clear Private Data.

If you still can't access the links on your yahoo homepage, check if you can access links from other websites. If you're also having problems with other websites, it's a browser issue.

In cases like this, if you have Internet Explorer and you have this problem, I would suggest downloading Mozilla Firefox from

Also try to reboot your computer and modem..

And scan the computer for possible virus infection using a security software..

You may also contact your ISP so they can check if there's any latency or fluctuations on their end.

I cannot get Yahoo ! to load as my home page

What browser? Did you change it in the preferences (Internet Options control panel for Internet Explorer; in Firefox, Tools: Options).

If it's Internet Explorer giving you problems, please allow me to recommend trying Firefox. It's faster, it's safer and it's pretty friendly to use. It's also free.
