Question about Computers & Internet
Hi, need to find driver to enable getting the recordings from tape in Camcorder onto my computer which is running Vista. It only comes with Windows 98, 2000 or XP drivers. It is G.726 Codec I think that I need????
Unfortunatley your answer is within your question, in which you say it only came with Driver Support for Win 98, 2000 & XP, basically meaning that your Camcorder is not compatible with Windows Vista.
The only 3 Possible choices you have are to
1. Use a friend's PC who has XP installed, and Transfer the Files through using their System.
2. Remove Windows Vista, and Install Windows XP
3. Wait until your Camcorder is supported by Windows Vista.
I seriously should not wait for Option 3 though, as I've had a Philips Webcam for over 2-3 yrs now, and is still not supported by Windows Vista.

Just use a 4 pin firewire to a 4 pin firewire in the computer don't use a USB port then just use a software program to capture.
