Question about Acer Aspire 3610 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 3610, that will not boot (Windows XP Home)- I get a blue splash screne saying that the "video driver failed to initialize" and the system will be shut down to prevent damage. I tried to restore the system to the factory defults, using the eRecovery, and recovery disks that I purchased from Acer. and the system still shuts down. I also tried to install a new hard drive, but all I got was a blue splash screne saying "no operating system found" then the unit shut down. I had been getting a blue splash screne for about a week before this happened saying that "one of your disks needed to be checked for consistancy", the disk checker would then run, find no problems and the unit would boot, but it often shut down when I was on the internet. I would restart the unit. the disk checker would run, then the unit would boot again. Any ideas, anyone?
