Mitsubishi WS-73909 Tv does not power on.

Hello,
I have Mitsubishi WS-73909 Big Screen Tv does not power on. When I turn it on, the green light comes on for a couple of seconds and it shuts off..
I pressed both the menu button and the input/device button on the set both in together and hold in for 6 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit blink code, it blinks twice rapidly, then pause, then does the same ten times.
your help is appreciated, Thank you

My set, Model number WS73909 does pretty much the same thing.
When I first plug the power cord in, the green power light flashes for perhaps 10 to 15 seconds like it's loading it's software then goes out and when I press the power on switch the green power light comes on for less than 5 seconds then goes off!
I don't have a fix for this but it reminds me of the power supply board that doesn't have all the correct inputs from inside the set!

SOURCE: MITSUBISHI WS-73909 will not turn on

it is normal for the green light to flash for 70 sesonds at first plugin the set will not turn on while it is taking place try it again after the light stops blinking.

now if your still having problems I need the error code
to get the error code Hold down input (device) and menue at the same time for 5 sec.

the led will start blinking an error code to you.
if it is broken we need the code.

SOURCE: Mitsubish WS-819 Protective Shutdown. 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks

Over 95% of the time a 2 - 2 blink code on that model is a convergence output problem. You need to replace both of the convergence output IC's and perhaps the pico fuses feeding them voltage. The pico fuses are F9A04 and F9A05. They are on the same board with the convergence outputs.

SOURCE: mitsubishi vs-60705 grenn power button goes on

It is an error code for short protection---the most common cause for this is one or both of the pico fuses that protect the convergence IC's are bad--set will detect no voltage and instantly shut off.

SOURCE: My Mitsubishi ws-55511 does not turn on. I push

1.) 2-2 is short protection and usually means one of the two fuses that protect the convergence IC are bad.

2.) This model uses a Single convergence IC--A STK-393-110 THAT can be purchased for about 14 dollars plus shipping on ebay.

3.) If one of the fuses that protect it is blown the set detects no voltage present and shuts down instantly.

4.) I have photos of what the fuses that need to be checked look like; also there are several protect resistors around the chip that need to be looked at also--I have photos of them also.

5.) I also have step by step start to finish instructions for this repair for this model--It tells you how to do the repair and everything you will need to do it.

6.) If you want the photos and instructions give me a vote here and I will email them to you free.

7.) I do this here for free so if this has been helpful take a minute and give me a vote here.

Ws 73909 has bad dm module. Where can I get it repaired or replaced?

If this is for the green blinking light issue, you can easily fix yourself if you have a soldering iron. It is just a few capacitors. But if you can't, then just about any mom n pop service compony will fix it for you, but will charge a lot of money to do it.

Does the Mitsubishi ws-73909 support hdcp and if not how do I get HD from my xbox360? I am currently running a hdmi cable into my hd fury3 into the dtv input and I do not have a picture.

I don't think it does since it doesn't have an HDMI input of it's own. You may be better off connecting your Xbox to the TV by component video (Red, blue, green RCA connectors with audio L/R on a separate cable).

I wish that I could be of more help.

Green light blinks and cant turn tv on

If this is a WS-55511, it is probably caused by a DM module. Unfortunately, it is not available nor does Mitsubishi offer a rebuild option. Mitsubishi's phone# 1-800-332-2119.
Give them a call and you never know what they may offer you.
Hope this helps,
