Hi. I have a fuji finepix

Hi.
I have a fuji finepix z10fd and it's not allowing me to transfer my pictures from my camera to my computer. It won't even recognise that the cable is connected.
I have lost my disc that originally downloaded the set up so I tried the Fuji website but the download from there was useless.
I'm prob not making any sense but does anyone have a idea what the problem could be?
