Try using safe mode and do a system restore
To get into Safe mode start the computer and on the Blue-Grey Dell Logo tap-click the " F8 " key on your keyboard slowly but steadily 4-5 times and then you will get windows advanced options menu.
Select Safemode With Networking and then push ENter Key Twice and then login to administrator and click yes and the follow the steps
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Click
the Restore My Computer to an earlier time, next.
Select a Previous date on the calendar atleast a few weeks back and then restore it by clicking next... and then check.. if it works...
Also revert back to me... on what happened or if any doubts...
