There are three visble screws and one hidden. Use the right size torx driver if you have it, or a small allen wrench works too and undo the screw that is visble on one side of the pack. Snap the false bottom off of the pack and reveal two more screws to remove. One screw is behid a plastic cap over a fourth obvious screw location. Drill the cap and unscre this screw also. Be sure there are no lables holding the two side together. Pressing down on the battery holdin clasp makes the sides easier to separate. Watch for falling parts. That's it!

Yes but you can not get to the fuse as it is a sealed unit. Also it is not a stranded fuse, it is shaped like a cone with a thick circle on top and a plastic bar in the center of the cone. (I used to dismantle things all of these transformer type plugs have one of these things in them they are tiny)

A dewalt dcd970 18v xrp and when i try to unscrew anything the bit comes loose. Can't figure out why?

check the inside of the chuck at the bottom(open the chuck to max). There should be small screw there with either a hex or a Phillips head. It is a left hand screw that locks the chuck in place and will not let it unscrew when you are removing parts.. If it is not there then you will have to get one from an old drill that is junk unless you can get one from an electrical appliance shop the repairs drills.

My battery will not charge

Supposedly there is , But I don't think so, There is a video on you tube that shows somebody messing with them, I think it is a bunch of ****. Is it the battery or the charger? Do you have other batteries that charge up? The life of the battery is about 1 year. I have boxes full of dead batteries, and guns and chargers. It is cheaper to buy a new gun with batteries and charger than it is to buy 2 new batteries. Check it out.

The fix it replace the trigger valve. It is a 5 minute job and seems to be a pretty common problem. Bad news is they seem to run about $30. I believe the bostitch # is TVA6

The staples are not going through the bamboo flooring all the time. they seem to bunch up every other staple. stapling into the plywood subflooring and have the compressor at 90 psi

Your anvil slide is worn. They bunch up because of too much play in the slide area for the anvil. THis should be cured with rebuild of the head.

FIRES MULTIPLE NAILS WHEN AIR IS HOOKED UP.

Your trigger plunger is not seating to close off the air. Then your safety interlock is also not working properly. Needs a rebuild of all pertinant parts associated with the firing. There is a vlve in the the body that works in conjunction with the safety interlock and the trigger.
