Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my understanding, there would be a grilled fan cover for the front while the motor itself is held in place by a bracket. An exploded parts diagram and a partslist is available at ParSelect.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Yes the oven depends on proper airflow for correct operation, the solder joint most likely burned out due to a shorted fan motor. Replace the fan motor and all should be right.

I need the model number and the serial number to try and look up the parts on the internet, you can also call Sears appliance service for help on the parts, they are probably the best around and work on and sell parts for all brands. The motor problem I doubt has any other parts that would make it fail, after millions of revolutions they just wear out.

You will have to buy the diagram from the manufacturer or see if sears has one, they are the only ones that work on everything.

Only if you have it turned to Convection oven. Or it is a convection oven and then in that case the fan must always turn to circulate the hot air, do not use if fan is not turning .

Microwave is smoking when I use it as a convection oven

It seems to be self cleaning... burning all the oils that coats the inside from microwaving food that wasn't covered. Clean the oven well and to remove bad smells put lemon juice in a bowl and microwave.

I self-cleaned the convection oven on my sc302tw, and now it does not heat on any settings, convection, bake or broil. It is 14 years old.

Looks like the sensor has tripped... on my Bosch oven, I opened the back. Connected to the thermostat is a switch with a little button which pops out to prevent the oven from overheating... push in the button to reset it and it should work

Top convection oven bottom element doesnt work although I tested with ohm meter broil element works

Follow wires & make sure they have not burned into. Tug on them at terminals. p.s. make sure power is off before doing this.

Oven was heating and we got HEAVY smoke....

Nothing in the elements, thermostat thermocouples are gas filled, sensors have wiring inside, nothing in the liner or insulation. You said this was a stove, and some stoves have a vent that goes up through one of the burners on the top. If you had oil splatter or drip into this it can get into your oven. We do know that some blower fans on convection ovens have a sealed oil bearing, but there would be very little oil coming out of this (drops) and you will notice your fan getting noisier or running slower in the near future. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

NEFF OVEN PROBLEM - SMOKE AND FUMES COMING OUT OF OVEN

Take the cover off that is surrounding the fan and you will probably find food or something there or on the fan blades. If it is not a food smell, then there is probably some wiring that is burning. I suspect that there is food behind the housing of the fan.
