nearly full up. Theres a volume measure that goes to 30 max. I think i had it at 28. If the circuit tripped how can i fix it?

  • abathingape Nov 29, 2008

Ok i should probably go into more depth. Me turning it up to 28 then it going off happened about a month ago. I thought it was broken and so left it until now when i just tried it. It turned on but only for a few seconds for it to go off again.

    They're working fine again
cheers for the help! I think the most important thing was knowing what caused it so it doesnt happen again. Cheers

How loud?  There's a protection circuit that protects the system.  If you played them too loud for the system, the circuit tripped.

I don't think you can.  If you're pushing it that hard, it's going to go into protection mode every time.  You can solve it by getting a bigger amp,  but that's all I know to do.
Good luck.  Rocker.

I misunderstood your second question.  You can get your speakers back on by turning off the amp and letting it cool down for a little while.  When you turn it back on the speakers should work.  If they don't, then there's a bigger problem that I won't be able to help you with.  Sorry.

Here is the manual for the unit.

Page 11 says you should just let it cool down.  When you turned it back on, did you turn it on to high volume?  If you're using it at more moderate volumes, does it still fail?  If so, I'm not sure what to tell you, other than to contact iLuv and see if they can help.

    Hope it works out!

I have an technics su-g75 and all of a sudden I lost all sound from the bass speakers I only have treble and mid tones that play out of my speakers

As far as I know, that model doesn't do biamp functions, so it wouldn't be the amp being the problem, although it could have caused the problem with the speakers. I suspect you have blown your woofers. It's odd if both L+R cabinets went at once, which leads me to question weather the amp send a subsonic signal to cause the failure. That assuming you weren't playing more loudly than the cabinets were rated for. I suggest checking the woofers for being b lown, and then taking the amp to the shop for a checkup.taking the amp

Keeps blowing speakers on left front channel

What exactly do you mean by "middle volume settings"? Where is the volume control physically, where are the channel levels set and what is the crossover point? After the crackling appears , do you switch speakers to the right channel to see if speakers are actually damaged or if the receiver is producing the distortion?

All Speakers suddenly dead

The internal audio amplifier is most likely dead, as it drives all speakers and the headphone output. If this is still under warranty, I would go that route. If not, it may be cheaper to buy a new receiver. Parts and labor can be expensive...you will have to take it to an electronics repair shop for an estimate.

Check for the fuses inside the machine, replace only with same ratings! Make sure there's no shortcircuit at the speaker output terminals. Have it checked out by your local dealer if you are in doubt.

I think you mean the left channel is out but when you use test tone, the sound comes from left and right channels through the right channel speaker. If this is case, the switching IC is malfuncting. Unit needs service

Not powering on

1. The power cord is not completely insered. 2. the impedance selector switch on the rear panel is not fully set to the upper or lower end - (set it when the unit is in the standby mode) other then that, you will have to call for a service.
