I am guessing you did not back them up on your computer.
You need to install the software that came with it on your PC,
assuming you have on, and connect the GPS. Follow the on screen instructions. You may have to purchace new maps.

I have a similar problem where my B200 just blanks right out and doesn't want to come back on until I pull it out of the head for about 1/2 hour! It also did not want to turn on outside of the head at all - I'm assuming dead battery. I phoned support here in Canada and they told me that it might be because the unit is not fully charged while in the head. He suggested that I pull the GPS out and try to charge it using the dedicated AC outlet for it. I'm trying this now! As for the firmware update for the B200, there ISN'T one as of yet. From what I've read, Alpine discontinued the Blackbird B200. Alpine support said that they are working on a newer firmware for the unit but I won't hold my breath if they discontinued the device!
