Unit become noisy

Noisy is too general but it could be a lot of things. It could the motor has a loose fan. There is nothing that you can do about that. IT could be something that is caught in the impellors on the pump. You can help us by telling us the make and model and when it makes the noise.

I have a gateway one zx6900 cooling fans make a lot of noise. How do i fix this?

Replace the FAN. You cannot FIX these. REASON> The fan motor generally turns on a ball bearing or oil impregnated sleeve. These tend to dry or wear down from use or age.
They are low cost devices and replacement is the only way to go.

I have a 94 GMC Safari SL heater fan (blower) is making a lot of noise

Noisy motor is usually bad bearings. If motor is easy to get to then it will be easy to replace the motor.

KitchenAid KHTU160KSS Kitchen Hood makes noise

Remove the fan and motor assembly from the hood (the fan motor will plug into the hood housing) and using an electrical motor cleaner (such as CRC electrical motor cleaner available from your local auto parts store) wash the motor and fan as completely as possible, lubricate the end bearings (sparingly) with a very light oil such as sewing machine oil, gun oil or as a last resort 3 in 1 oil. Hope this helps.

Squeaky condenser fan motor on Carrier 3 ton central air. I oiled once 4 months ago and noise stopped but noise returned today. Is there a special oil for the berings?

Usually a light oil.Wd 40.
Most of these motors are sealed bearings, meaning they do not get oiled. When they start making noise it means the motor bearings are getting worn and the motor will need to be replaced soon.

I have got 5 to 6 months out of noisy motors using a light household oil or WD 40.

The fan in my unit is making excessive noise. Unit works fine and cools properly but the fan has become noisy. Is there any service that can reduce this noise?

I would check fan motor for oil ports and add a few drops of machine oil if they are there. Check fan blades and clean as good as possible. If you can hold on to fan and move motor shaft back and forth more then 1/8 inch then the bearing on yhe motor are worn and you will need to replace the motor. Thank you.

Westinghouse virtuoso fridge is noisy after leaving the freezer door open several hours

First analyze from where you are getting the sound.
1)Check the fan at the back side of the freezer. Is it making noise.Remove it and put some oil so it will rotate without sound.Check for the bending and straighten it and see it
doesn't hit on body.

2)compressor motor may vibrating a lot making noise to the condenser coils. It makes the full fridge to vibrate and makes noise.Adhesive stickers will soften them.If still problem persist coil could be damaged.

post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

When fan is running it is noisy

Hi, normally when a fan motor starts to make noise, this is a warning that the bearings are worn, and the motor will give out after a period of time. Not knowing what kind of set up you have, a central system, or a wall or window unit and the age of the unit, makes it hard to tell you what you can check, so I will guess and give you some ideas you can do. If it is the indoor blower motor, check to see if it has oiler caps on the body of the motor, they will be on top at the front and rear of the motor. You will see these small round chrome or red plastic plugs that can be removed to oil the bearings. If not, it will have sealed bearings and they can't be oiled. If so, you can pick up what is called zoom oiler's at Orchard supply, or other hardware stores that have a telescopic spout that pulls out for long tight spots and give them several shots of oil. If the bearings are not real bad, this will help a lot. If not, you can have the motor checked to see if the windings are weak and the bearings are going and have it changed out, or try and live with this noise until the motor just dies out. If the noise is loud now, you may want to do this now. Hopefully you have oil ports. From what you have said, the motor is noisy, I would say you are loosing the bearings or they are dry and need oil if they are not sealed. Check with a good strong light, and make sure the power is off before you put your hands in there. This oil bottle is only a $1.19. Please don't forget to rate me on this as I know you will be kind to me. I will be here if you need my help if you decide to take this on your self. I can walk you through the process. My CPU is making lot of noise especially when I'm using programs like Adobe reader

The CPU wont make noise unless its frying. So its either your hard drives, cd drives, or your fans.
If its your fans i sugest buying newer "Cool Master" fans that are powerful but less noisy
