Heh it seem to be very common problem, I also post something similar to your problem about same model of this monitor.

Well, you can't stop it from blinking, It comes and goes. (What means is. It is going to be bad soon.) (Need to be repaired.)

Thisis what I have to deal with right now, At least be glad that yours isbetter than mine, because mine will not displays the normal color itdoesn't do blinking often but only during when you have to power on theComputer for first time and then will have hard time powering up themonitor after a while,I had to unplug the power plug for monitor andwait for like few minutes while My Computer is STILL ON, and I plugback the monitor plug and finally got it stop blinking and then finallydisplays the image like normal only with lack of red/green colors heh.But just make sure you don't try use FULL Screen mode,(Like PC games) Inotice that when I tired do that for mine, It will shut down and thenyou will have to unplug the monitor again and try again until it stopsblinking. I know its is VERY annoying LOL believe me.

Monitor is black,power line flashing.

Flashing power light often means the monitor isn't getting a signal. When you turn the monitor off and back on, do you see the viewsonic logo for a few seconds? Try plugging it into a different computer to see if it comes on.

If plugging it into another computer doesn't work, it may be a bad power circuit in the monitor. A common problem with monitors is the capacitors going bad. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can try replacing them yourself. Look here for pictures and instructions: Fix an LCD Monitor

My ViewSonic VX924 flashes the green power light off and on when I try to turn it back on after it has been off for a while. I can get it to work again by disconnecting the power in the back then...

I had several monitors do this. They start blinking on and off for a while until they warm up. It takes longer and longer for them to warm up, then eventually they never stay on and blink forever. In my experience, it has been the capacitors on the power circuit. You can fix it with a little soldering and about $1 worth of capacitors. For photos and a guide, look here: Fix an LCD Monitor
