The volume on my laptop isn't workinga

Is the volume muted or set to low volume? (To check, go to Start > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control.)

If that doesn't work,
* Have you tried restarting?
* Did you install something new?

There was a spark in my woofer and my woofers volume stopped working also due 2 tht my pc volume also is not working.i installed my motherboard cd but still pc volume is not working.also my woofer is...

good day sir, there is a chance that you PC audio port is also busted( the green port) you may use the blue port, but you should enable 4 speakers (usually rear speakers) on your volume comtrol properties , (or 6 speakers if you want to use the pink one). If still no sound on all ports, buy a new PCI sound card. Coonect it on any available PCI slot on your PC. then run the CD device driver.

I cant get my built in mic to work for my acer travelmate 2313LCi..?

I'm assuming your speakers work and you're running Windows XP. Please correct me if otherwise.

There are two settings for the microphone in Windows XP. One is for the volume of the mic you hear through the speakers. The other is for the recording volume of the microphone (and the volume others here when you speak to them through Skype or another program).

First check the recording volume:
Volume Manager (double click on speaker icon on your taskbar) -> Options -> Properties -> Recording -> OK -> Make sure the Microphone slider is at least halfway turned up and make sure the Microphone is selected

Next check the playback volume:
Volume Manager -> Options -> Properties -> Playback -> OK -> Make sure the Microphone isn't muted and adjust the volume according to your preferences

Mic outlet doesn't work

hello,

did you see a volume control in the task bar. In the volume control double click ..click the option and then properties, check the mic and line volume to display.. and then adjust the volume to higher..

if this not work u can , maybe the volume socket is defective but ican't believe..that is seldom case..

But if that is the case you can buy add on sound card and connect it to the pci port.

pls try first the solution above before going to buy new sound card.

may this help,

melnavz

PS: pls do not rate me if my solution not solve the issue and you need more further information. but if is invaluable solution rate me fixya.

check the "microphone", and the "line volume"
if set to mute, uncheck the box and adjust volume.
